This page is the master list of sources cited across wholelife.hk, grouped into Hong Kong, Singapore, Mainland China, international organisations, published insurer documents and secondary sources, with the publisher, title, date, link and how each is used on this site. Compiled on 2026-10-24. The date column gives the document's publication date; for web pages without a clear publication date, the date accessed is shown. Regulatory documents are revised from time to time, so please check the latest version on the publisher's website before citing.
How to use this list and source grading
This site grades sources at three levels and applies them consistently in the main text:
| Level | Meaning | How it is cited in the main text |
|---|---|---|
| Primary | Original texts from regulators, government departments, statutory bodies, industry associations or the insurer concerned | Cited directly, with publisher and date |
| Secondary | Summaries of primary documents, or independently compiled data, from law firms, actuarial consultancies and the media | Marked "according to [organisation]'s commentary / compilation"; third-party indices are marked "unofficial data" |
| Unverified | Only a search excerpt is available, or the original text has not been read | Not cited directly for figures; described only qualitatively |
For some IA documents, a copy in the HKMA document repository or an authoritative hosted copy (such as the Interpretation Notes on GL16 hosted by the law firm Kennedys) is also given; for joint IA circulars, the version in the HKMA document repository is authoritative. Law firm and actuarial commentary on IA documents is listed as secondary. This site does not use any insurer internal materials, commission schedules or client information. On 2026-10-24, key figures and regulatory statements were re-checked one by one: the original texts of sections 64A–64C of Hong Kong's Insurance Ordinance, section 13 of the Married Persons Status Ordinance, the IA practice note on illustration caps and the interpretation note on the review mechanism, the Interpretation Notes on GL16 and the ICB terms of reference have all been read.
